The principal activity of the IIC Institute (International Institute for Conservation) is the promotion of the knowledge, methods and working standards needed to protect and preserve historic and artistic works. The IIC collaborates closely with the International Centre for Conservation in Rome (ICCROM)and with the Committee for Conservation of the International Council of Museums(ICOM-CC).
